You know your business and we know ours. Astute BCS are another resource available to you to help grow and develop your business. We can help you get information out of your systems that can give you new insight into your business and into your systems.
When you decide to work with us whether it's embarking on a new project, installing a new system or getting more out of your current system, before we do anything else, we schedule an implementation meeting. In this meeting we discuss your business, your priorities, your requirements, your staff, your deadlines, your options and your level of commitment. Depending upon what you want to do, we then go away and draw up an outline which deals how we are going to accomplish this together and bring it back to discuss it with you and work with you to put deadlines and dates to each step. In this way, we can tick off each step and know where we are.
Training
We can organise training anywhere within Australia, either on site at your place of business or a classroom venues, if that is more suitable for you. When there are a number of people involved in the session, we can work in the comfort of your own office, tailoring training, reporting and business intelligence solutions for your specific needs, and answering any questions you may have to help you implement "real life" solutions.
For existing sites that have moved past the "training" stage, we can conduct informal sessions where participant questions and inquiries drive the direction of the session. Alternatively, we can structure a session on a given topic to any skill level you require.
Implementation
Some sites like to have a training company set up and work with it, we can make a copy of your existing data so that this can happen. If you are putting in a new system, you might like to run parallel for a period of time with your outgoing system to have the extra checks and balances associated with this. Some sites like to just move it all over and do it all on the job. We can cater for all variations, chances are you won't ask for something we haven't done before in some shape or form!
A training and implementation schedule normally covers many items, some common topics are;
- If data is to be transferred from an existing system; what data is required and who will provide it;
- When it will be uploaded into the new system; which order the modules will be implemented in;
- Dates for training for each module;
- Staff who will attend each training session;
- Live dates for each module;
- Special reporting requirements.
Business Processes and Reviews
We can work with you to review and streamline your processes that occur in your business. Sometimes, it maybe functions or features in the software that you or your staff are unaware of that will make a difference, in that case training is an answer.
It maybe that changing the method of recording the information in the system will give you better or more accurate information on what is happening in your business. Sometimes it is a very staff intensive process that is causing a bottleneck in your business. For example, it may be key end of month reports that you need to run the business that take days to collate out of your system.
Reporting
Often a business accounting system is used for compliance, meaning that it focuses on raising invoices, collecting money and producing BAS and tax reports. There is a wealth of information about your business inside your system. Margins by product, by debtor, sales this month, this month last year, year to date, last year to date, etc.
Who is buying? What are they buying? When are they buying? Have they stopped buying? How much stock did I sell this time last year? How often am I turning my stock holding over? What products are not selling? Can you answer these questions? Would you like to?
